Forty young singers aged 14 to 18 from Carrickfergus Grammar School in Northern Ireland will perform a lunchtime recital in Selby Abbey on Friday 3rd March at 1.00pm. The competition-winning choir, conducted by Edward J. Craig, have recently performed at the Somme Memorials and at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. A visit to Selby Abbey was high on their ‘wish list’ for their 2017 Concert Tour in the North of England.
The recital will last about half an hour and admission is free.
