All Saints Church, West Heslerton is to hold an exhibition of over 200 decorated eggs during the last weekend in April and over the early May Bank Holiday.

The art or craft of decorating eggs has been popular over many centuries. The eggs are usually “blown” by making a hole at both ends and the contents blown out before being carved, dyed, painted or decorated in other ways. The majority of the eggs were made by the late Mrs Joyce Newlove of the Middleton Egg Crafters but other local people have also offered their treasures to show.

If you want to see an ostrich egg, a set of “babushka doll” eggs, musical eggs, “I love you eggs” and many others, All Saints West Heslerton will be the place to visit. The exhibition is open between 2 - 5pm on the 26th & 27th April and also at the same times the following weekend and Bank Holiday Monday 3rd, 4th, 5th May.

There will be no charge to visit the exhibition which will be of interest to young and old alike.
