With 93% of all 5 to 15 year olds using the internet, we must know how to engage with children and help them flourish online. This day course will help you understand how children use social media platforms, and how we can keep them and ourselves safe online. This course is vital for children and youth workers and church leaders who work with children, and will encompass good safeguarding practice online.

Dr Bex Lewis will be leading the day. Bex is passionate about helping people engage with the digital world in a positive way, where she has 17+ years of experience. Trained as a mass communications historian, writing the original history of Keep Calm and Carry On, she is Director of The BIGBible Project (Durham University) and social media consultancy Digital Fingerprint, and is author of ‘Raising Children in a Digital Age’ (Lion Hudson, 2014).
