Pamela Draycott will be leading a trip entitled Coast to Coast trip around Southern India from Saturday 28th July to Saturday 11th August 2018.

Pamela has led many trips to India, mainly in northern India, but this one crosses southern regions. It begins in Chennai and ends in Cochin taking in a range of places associated with St Thomas and Christianity (which is strongest in southern India) as well as mainly Hindu places of worship in their distinctive southern Indian style.

A visit to the oldest, and one of the very few Jewish synagogues in India, a tea museum, spice farm, the oldest building in India (an Anglican church) also form part of this fascinating opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of this fascinating part of an incredible country.

Travel within India will be by coach and train as well as an opportunity to enjoy a tour on the waterways of Kerala. Towns, countryside and coast all figure in as part of the tour. There are plenty of opportunities to encounter the religious diversity of this part of India, for taking photos and buying artefacts (for the teachers amongst the group) as well as many other shopping opportunities and time for rest and relaxation.

For those who have travelled with Pamela before this tour complements the ‘Encountering Religions’ tour which she last led during the summer of 2015. The cost includes international return flights from Heathrow. If you are planning to travel from a different starting point, Soul of India can organise the flight for you (adjusting the price accordingly).
Bookings are being taken now, with a small deposit. Full payment is not due until much nearer the date of travelling, so time to save up.
