Archbishop Winston Halapua, one of three Archbishops of the Anglican Church of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia is speaking at a dinner at St Edward’s Church, Dringhouses in York on Saturday 2nd September.

The dinner will be at 7.00pm for 7.30pm and held in the community hall. Tickets are £10 – available from the Parish Office at tel. 01904 709111 or email: parishoffice@care4free.net.

Climate change and the impact which this is having across the world is one of the most urgent issues which we are facing at this time. Archbishop Halapua will be speaking on the subject of climate justice which is one of his passions in mission - particularly as parts of his diocese are literally disappearing into the sea as water levels rise.

Before coming to York, he will also be speaking at the Greenbelt festival on this subject on behalf of USPG.

If you are unable to attend the dinner, Archbishop Halapua will also be preaching on climate justice at York Minster at 10am service on Sunday 3rd September.

All are welcome to attend.
