An established favourite in the Minster calendar, the Lunchtime Lent Talks return again this year with five inspiring speakers sharing their insights and perspectives on the challenging subject of ‘Reconciliation’. There will be a free, simple lunch served before each talk, with donations to Christian Aid welcome.

Thursday 22 February: ‘Reconciliation: a personal journey’ with Sister Patricia Harriss CJ, Director of Novices, the Bar Convent, York

Sister Patricia, a member of the Congregation of Jesus, is currently based at Bar Convent in York – England’s oldest living convent founded in 1686 as a school for girls. Sister Patricia previously taught at the Bar Grammar School before moving to the Leeds Diocese to work with adults preparing for a life in religious ministry. She currently works as Novice Director – delivering training for women preparing to take religious vows. Sister Patricia is involved in many community groups in the city, notably the York Interfaith Group. Her missional work has taken her to East Anglia, London, Slovakia, Italy and South Russia.
