What we believe and why it matters

On Wednesdays 14th January - Wednesday 25th March 2015 (no session on Ash Wednesday)

This is a York School of Ministry course designed to help you learn more about the great themes of Christian faith and practice.

Over ten, weekly, sessions, we’ll explore our beliefs about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Church, considering how these influence our relationships with others as well discovering how what we believe has a profound impact on our own spiritual journey.

The course would suit anyone who has little or no formal theological training. No academic qualifications are required, just enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute to group discussion. It would be suitable for Recognised Parish Assistants, wishing to continue their learning and development, as a taster for people considering future academic study, or simply for those wishing to explore their faith in more depth.

Sessions will take place at the York Hub, Diocesan House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York, YO30 4WJ
