The Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu is to tweet daily messages from @JohnSentamu about how we might prepare for Christmas with Gospel Readings for the day available from his website.
The Archbishop said, “I love Advent – it’s a wonderful season of watching and waiting for signs of God’s justice. Every day from Advent Sunday until Christmas Eve, I will be tweeting in the morning and the evening beseeching you to join me in listening to Jesus’ invitation to follow him. There will also be a Gospel Reading of the day if you want to join me in reflecting on it. Christmas is coming – come and journey through Advent with me! As it says in the Love Life Live Advent booklet – Make room for the manger!”
The Archbishop’s online calendar for the Gospel Readings of the Day will be available here from 1st December to 24th December.
