Archbishop Sentamu Invites You To Join Him On Tour!

The Archbishop of York is set to go back on the road as he plans to join all 21 deaneries in the Diocese of York throughout 2017 and 2018 for weekends of celebration, witness and blessing, telling others of the love of God. The first stop will be Northern Ryedale from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 January 2017.

Archbishop Sentamu said, “Jesus has invited us to proclaim the good news of God's love and make disciples. I am looking forward to joining each of our 21 deaneries over the next 18 months, from Middlesbrough, Guisborough and Stokesley to Howden, Hull and South Holderness. I hope that, as disciples of Jesus in the Diocese of York, we will invite all we meet to get to know Jesus more deeply. It’s about all of us accepting Jesus’ invitation to life in all its fullness, being encouraged in our journey of faith and being open to the grace of the Holy Spirit.”

Northern Ryedale has been preparing for their weekend of witness and celebration, calling all of their events INVITE. All are encouraged to invite friends, family, neighbours and colleagues to local events happening throughout the mission weekend in schools, caf├ęs, pubs, churches and community hubs.

Easingwold will follow next from Friday 20 January to Sunday 22 January 2017 and Hull West events will be from Friday 10 February to Sunday 12 February 2017. More details to follow soon.
