John and Nancy Eckersley have devised another Long Distance Walk for Christian Aid.

'The Coastliner Way' runs from Leeds to Malton and then splits into three prongs, one going to Whitby, one to Scarborough and one going to Filey/Bridlington.

Most of the walks about 5 to 7 miles long, although in some cases two consecutive walks can be joined into a longer one if you're feeling up for the challenge! The total mileage adds up to around 170 miles but fear not, the attraction of the walks is that they all start and finish at a Coastliner bus stop. This means that, apart from getting to the start of a walk, there is no need to use private transport.

The 'Launch Day' will take place at the end of Christian Aid Week on Saturday 20 May 2017.

The aim is that different walking groups and Christian Aid supporters will complete one or more of the 23 separate walk sections so that the whole 170 miles will be covered on the same day. Those taking part are being asked to get sponsorship for Christian Aid and the money they collect will be allocated to their own particular Church's Christian Aid Week effort.
