Graham Andrews, our Diocesan Surveyor, and Lisa Whitley, our Clergy Housing Officer, joined Archbishop Sentamu on his Pilgrimage of Prayer Witness and Blessing yesterday.

Graham said, "It was lovely to see so many people from various parishes turn out to greet and walk with the Archbishop.

"A rewarding walk to Foston culminated in a visit to the primary school, where the Archbishop enjoyed meeting the twenty-four pupils during their break. The Archbishop blessed the Peace Garden and answered questions from the pupils, which included whether the Archbishop had been on a quad bike, and whether he was 'a Disciple of God'."

Lisa said, "As someone who spends most of my time in York, it was amazing to see the beautiful Yorkshire countryside we have right on our doorstep. A particular highlight was visiting the beautiful St John's church at Howsham; it was a gem!"
