Churches from different denominations in East Hull are coming together for a Walk of Witness on Good Friday.

The Walk will see Christians from seven different churches coming together to express their faith on one of the holiest days of the church calendar.

The Revd Aian Macpherson, Assistant Curate at St Columba’s Church Drypool said, “This Walk of Witness is a celebration of Christian unity. Although there are differences between our churches, on Good Friday we can all come together and focus on the heart of our faith: Jesus. As we walk through the streets of East Hull, we will remember Jesus’ walk to the cross, before the crucifixion. It’s a public declaration of our faith, and we hope it will make people in the streets remember the true meaning of Easter.”

The timings of the Walk of Witness on Good Friday are:
10:55: Meet outside Hull Council Office, Holderness Road, Mount Retail Park
11:20: Act of worship near the Pelican Crossing (opposite BHF Furniture)
11:30: Act of worship at Holderness Road Methodist Church
11:50: Closing act of worship at St Columba's Church, Holderness Road, Laburnum Avenue
Holderness Road Methodist Church will be serving refreshments and hot cross buns all day.
