There will be an opportunity to hear from the candidates for the Selby and Ainsty Parliamentary seat at a hustings event at Selby Abbey on Thursday 25th May.
The meeting starts at 7.30pm and will be chaired by Dr John Thomson, the Bishop of Selby, on behalf of Churches Together in Selby (who have organised similar hustings before the two previous General Elections).
Questions can be submitted in writing either before the event to bishopofselby@yorkdiocese.org or in person on the evening before the meeting starts (by 7.15pm). A range of questions will be chosen from those submitted to reflect the main issues facing the UK and the local area at this General Election.
All are welcome to come and hear the views of our parliamentary candidates on some of the important issues of the day.
