An appeal has been set up to help people affected by the floods of Christmas 2015. You can donate to the York Flood Appeal online here or the North Yorkshire Flood Appeal here.
These appeals will support people who have lost so much as a result of the floods in the City of York and across North Yorkshire. Money donated will be used to help get people whose homes have been flooded to get back to normal as quickly as possible. The Funds will use the funds to provide grants to support people with things like essential household items as well as the additional costs of living in temporary accommodation.
Both Funds are administered by Two Ridings Community Foundation on behalf of the York Disaster Fund. The York Disaster Fund is a registered charity benefitting people living within the City of York council area, set up to help victims of the floods in 2000.
