Churches and schools across Hull are raising money to help people in their Ebola-stricken twinned city of Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Hull’s Ebola Crisis Appeal is raising money to provide buckets with taps, chlorine tablets, soap and bleach which will be distributed around the city to help in the fight against the deadly disease.

The Revd Allen Bagshawe said, “It’s a desperate situation in Freetown as they try to fight off the Ebola virus. We’d like to encourage everyone to donate what they can and take the opportunity to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Sierra Leone.”
