On Saturday 2 April, 25 musicians from different churches and choirs in the York area travelled down to London to perform in the Royal Albert Hall as part of Prom Praise 2016. Singers from All Saints Huntington, St Mary Strensall, St Oswald Fulford, St Paul Holgate, St Andrew South Otterington, St Mary Riccall, St Michael le Belfrey York, York Minster, York City Church, Pocklington Christian Fellowship, Sherburn Benefice, York Salvation Army, Holy Trinity Micklegate and musicians from St Luke York met several times throughout March to rehearse the programme which included traditional hymns such as All People That On Earth Do Dwell, and more contemporary music such as Outrageous Love by Noel Robinson, under the leadership of Helen Warry and Catherine Birch, York's Prom Praise Choir Directors.

On the day, the musicians from York joined the 400-strong Prom Praise choir from around the UK to rehearse the material under the energetic, dynamic direction of principal conductor, Noël Tredinnick. The audience (and performers) enjoyed an incredible evening featuring internationally-renowned worship leaders, including well-known singer/ songwriters Stuart Townend, Noel Robinson and Lou Fellingham.
