Nigel Ogden, presenter of BBC Radio 2's "The Organist Entertains", treated St Felix, Felixkirk to an excellent recital. William Frank from St Felix writes:

"Several months ago a well known organist visited our church. Much to his surprise he discovered that we were the owners of a world famous Walcker organ. He registered his delight in the visitor’s book and a dialogue ensued between Alec Hornsby and Nigel Ogden of BBC fame which culminated in a superlative evening of organ playing without the sight of music. It received universal acclaim which was echoed admirably in a few words of thanks and appreciation by our vicar the Revd Ian Houghton.

"Mr Ogden introduced great skill and humour to the evening and the promise of more to come in the future and I would remind everyone that nothing would have happened if Alec had not acted on the comments entered in the visitor’s book.

"The programme included well known items representing all strands of music from second half of the 20th century.

"When I woke up next morning a few thoughts entered my head. I am sure that the Walker family, who imported the organ from Ludwigstarg over a hundred and twenty years ago, would have been thrilled to find it in such good condition, played by such a celebrated organist to a packed and appreciative audience."
