St Nicholas Guisborough will be celebrating their musical community in April by holding a Parish Music Day. There will be 12 hours of music in the Parish including musical activities from the Messy Church Team, junior organ and instrumental recitals, musicals performances, choral and instrumental pieces and a concert with the whole musical team.

There are now fifty musicians involved in weekly worship at St Nicholas Guisborough including a choir with members ranging from 8 to 88 years old. This year one of the Choristers will have been a member of the Parish Choir for 75 Years. They have a diverse orchestra which play monthly and now includes brass, strings, woodwind and percussion sections.

The church has welcomed two more organists to the fold this year all led by the Director of Music and they will soon be welcoming another accomplished organist into the Parish Family in July to ensure that the tradition of music making continues to grow retaining the features of a traditional choir as well as the other qualities a contemporary music group can bring including an orchestra.

They would like to express their thanks to those who continually support the Parish as it grows from strength to strength singing a repertoire of both traditional and contemporary worship material.
