In a series of videos published on the Archbishop's Pilgrimage Website, we hear from a mother whose daughter was baptised in a Rag Well at Great Hatfield and a primary school teacher who recalled her 3Ps of the Pilgrimage as the Pace, Prayers and Personality of the Archbishop.

A Year 10 school student reflects on praying about what is on your heart and a widow who hosted the Archbishop during his week in Bridlington shares how prayer has helped her through bereavement. We hear how prayers said by the Archbishop in a hospice in Scarborough helped a terminally-ill patient find peace with God and her family too.

There are also insights of the Pilgrimage as presented by a church warden who helped organise the Archbishop’s visit to her village; a Reader on loving the Lord’s Prayer; a prison chaplain speaks about the q & a session at HMP Full Sutton and a school chaplain explains how she came to pray the Lord’s Prayer with a homeless man just a few days after the Archbishop’s Pilgrimage at her school. We hear about how the Archbishop encouraged individuals in Northern Ryedale and of a confirmation service in Pocklington.

On Saturday 21 May, anyone wishing to join in the Pilgrimage is warmly invited to come along to Parliament Street, York City Centre from 1pm for an event ‘Celebrate With the Archbishop’ as he completes his Diocesan Pilgrimage of Prayer, Witness and Blessing. He will be joined by church leaders from the Deanery of York and from other denominations across the City.

Archbishop Sentamu said, “Praying for those who come to know Christ is a great privilege and a joy. I am encouraging everyone I meet to try praying afresh. Be open to encountering Jesus Christ for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and receive the gifts of new life and joy freely given by Jesus Christ. Join me in prayer, witness and blessing daily and share your love of God the Father with others!”
