A special ‘Service of Welcome’ will be held at Hull Minster with members of the LGBT Christian Fellowship on Friday, July 21st at 7.30pm

Like every service at the Minster, it is open to everyone, regardless of age, background, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.

Hull Minster was approached by the LGBT Christian Fellowship Hull and East Riding Group to provide the informal service as a way of reaching out to people pouring into the city centre for the weekend’s UK City of Culture celebrations.

The guest speaker at the service will be the Reverend Rachel Mann, Resident Poet at Manchester Cathedral.
The Reverend Canon Dr Neal Barnes, Vicar of Hull Minster, said:

“All are welcome to worship at Hull Minster and this service reflects that. It will be very informal, inclusive and full of joy. We hope many people will come and experience it in this wonderful setting.”

The service will include refreshments served both before and afterwards and provision for young children.

Doors will open from 6.30pm.
