"The young are called; the elderly are called.
Women are called and men are called.
There is no retirement from the Christian pilgrimage.
God 'has no favourites'.
We are all called no matter what our occupations may be.
There is no special status in the Kingdom for those in top jobs or important responsibilities".

17 April is the next Vocations Sunday. People often struggle to find the words to describe their calling. It can be a feeling, a physical sensation, a voice in a corner of their mind telling them where they should go. It can change as you explore it, changing as God calls you down new and different paths. Vocations Sunday is the day for churches to encourage everyone to reflect, discover and recognise God's call to them.

The Church of England have shared a selection of resources for both worship and study, for congregations or small groups around Vocations Sunday. You can access these resources by clicking here.
