Easingwold Parish Church’s harvest celebrations over the 22nd to the 24th September centred on a ‘Welcome Weekend’ which the parish judged to be a great success.

“We invited all the local people to join us for a variety of events and activities,” said Publicity Officer Michael Wansborough.

“These included a concert by ‘Jubilate’ Ladies’ Choir, a Bake-Off competition, craft activities, American sports, and a Pop-up CafĂ©.”

Sunday’s services included a Harvest Family Event and a Choral Evensong with the Deanery Ecumenical Choir.

Michael added, “Our collected donations of foodstuffs, toiletries and money will be sent to ‘CareCent’, a charity for the homeless in York.”
