The Headteacher and pupils from West Heslerton CE Primary School are featured in a new film from Historic England and the Churches Conservation Trust. Rachel Wells and her pupils were filmed exploring St Andrew’s East Heslerton, which is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

The film, which you can watch online here, highlights the wonderful learning opportunities provided by the Churches Conservation Trust and shows local heritage treasures held in places of worship for young people to explore. Visit The CCT website to find out more about their work and the Historic England Education webpage for information about local heritage.

Kelly Powell, Churches Conservation Trust Heritage Learning Officer said, “The clips of the children participating in the Treasures workshops and Rachel’s eloquent words really do an amazing job of illustrating the value of old churches as places for learning.”
