Wheldrake with Thorganby CE VA Primary School has been given the ‘Outstanding’ grade in its recent SIAMS inspection.

SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) evaluates the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a Church of England school, and complements the Ofsted inspections of Church Schools.

The SIAMS inspector for Wheldrake with Thorganby Primary School said Christian values are embedded in the daily life of the school and everyone can articulate these values and the impact they have on their lives. Collective worship and religious education (RE) have an excellent impact on the Christian character of the school. Consequently behaviour and relationships are excellent and this further impacts on achievement. Spirituality is highly developed throughout school, particularly through opportunities for ‘What if…?’ learning.

Congratulations to all at Wheldrake with Thorganby Primary School!
