York Minster’s critically acclaimed production of the Mystery Plays opened on the 26th May and has been a resounding hit with reviewers and audiences alike, gaining 4 star reviews in ‘The Observer’ and ‘The Guardian’ and described as “a production of memorable spectacle” by Mark Smith, ‘British Theatre Guide’.
With just over two weeks to go until the end of the run, the Minster has announced a 50% discount on all unsold evening tickets for that day’s performance to give as many people as possible the change to experience this spectacular show.

The Very Reverend Dean of York, Vivienne Faull comments:
“The show is an epic spectacle and an unmissable production and it has been a delight to witness the process so far. The stories are an integral part of our history and we want to share them with as many people from the York community and visitors to our city as possible. This is a unique opportunity to see these extraordinary plays brought to life against the historic backdrop of the Minster, transformed into a breath-taking 1,000 seater theatre. It truly is a once in a generation opportunity not to be missed.”
