The Reverend J C Antony Lambert

It is with regret that I have to inform you that the Reverend John Clement Antony Lambert, who had the Archbishop’s Permission to Officiate, died on Thursday, 4 May 2017.

Mr Lambert was 89 and he is survived by his wife, Beryl, and their children, Simon and Caroline. His funeral will take place at Holme-on-Spalding-Moor All Saints on Monday, 15 May 2017 at 2pm

Venerable Ronald Woodley

It is with regret that I have to inform you that the Venerable Ronald John Woodley, who had the Archbishop’s Permission to Officiate, died on Saturday, 25th February 2017.

Mr Woodley was ordained in 1954 and served the whole of his ministry in the Archdeaconry of Cleveland. Before his appointment as Archdeacon of Cleveland in 1985, he ministered in Middlesbrough, Whitby and Stokesley. He served as a Canon of York Minster from 1982 to 2000.

Mr Woodley was 91 and is survived by his wife Pat and their family. The funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

The Reverend Richard John William Long, (Team Vicar of the Benefice of Marfleet), has resigned with effect from Sunday, 26 February 2017.

The date of his final service will be Sunday, 26 February 2017.

Osmotherly with Harlsey and Ingleby Arncliffe Cowesby and Felixkirk with Boltby, Kirkby Knowle, Leake with Over and Nether Silton and Kepwick

The Reverend Trevor Lewis, (Assistant Curate in the Benefices of Osmotherly with Harlsey and Ingleby Arncliffe and Cowesby and Felixkirk with Boltby, Kirkby Knowle, Leake with Over and Nether Silton and Kepwick), has resigned to be Associate Priest in the Hurstbourne Tarrant and Vernham Dean benefices in the Diocese of Winchester.

The date of his final service will be Sunday, 29 January 2017 in the Parish Church of St Peter’s, Osmotherley.

York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

The Reverend Rachel Bailes (Chaplin at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield in the Diocese of Leeds) has been appointed as Senior Chaplin at the York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


Ms Bailes will be licence by the Archbishop of York on Thursday, 15th December 2016 at 12:30pm at the Chapel of York Hospital.

The Thorntons and The Otteringtons

The Reverend Robert John Williamson, (Vicar of the Benefice of St Cuthbert, Darlington in the Diocese of Durham) has been appointed as Vicar of the Benefice of The Thorntons and The Otteringtons, and Chaplain to North Yorkshire Police. Mr Williamson will be licensed by the Bishop of Whitby in the Parish Church of St Andrew, South Otterington on Saturday 3 December 2016 at 3pm.

Ormesby

The Reverend Carol Sunley, (assistant Curate of he Benefice of Ormesby), will retire with effect from 31st December 2016.

Her final service will be on Sunday 25th December 2016 in the parish church of St. Cuthbert, Middelsbrough.

Middle Esk Moor

The Reverend Paul Jackson, (PTO in the Diocese of York and formerly Associate Priest in the Benefice of Haxby and Wigginton) has been appointed as Vicar of the Benefice of Middle Esk Moor. Mr Jackson will be licensed by the Bishop of Whitby in the Parish Church of St Hilda, Egton on Friday, 18 November 2016 at 7pm.

Order of the Holy Paraclete

The Reverend Graham Weir, (Chaplain to the Order of the Holy Paraclete), will retire with effect from Easter Day 2017 (Sunday, 17 April 2017).

Dringhouses

The Reverend Letitia Irene Chester, (Assistant Curate SSM of the Benefice of Dringhouses), has been re-appointed as Assistant Curate SSM of the Benefice of Dringhouses.

Ms Chester will be licensed by the Archbishop of York at Bishopthorpe Palace on Wednesday, 9 November 2016 at 8.30am.

Filey

The Reverend Nigel Leonard Chapman, (Archdeaconry of York Adviser for Children and Youth Ministry; Assistant Curate of the Benefice of Coxwold and Husthwaite and of the Benefice of Crayke with Brandsby and Yearlsey) has been appointed as Vicar of the Benefice of Filey.

Mr Chapman will be licensed by the Bishop of Hull in the Parish Church of St Oswald, Filey on Tuesday, 13 December 2016 at 7.30pm.
