The Revd Mike Leigh, Vicar of Newby, and Cloughton and Burniston, has resigned to be Chaplain of Scargill House, Kettlewell in the Diocese of Leeds from Saturday, 24th October 2020.

The Revd Jan Nobel, Vicar of the Benefice of Heslington, has been appointed as Interim Priest-in-Charge of Osbaldwick with Murton for three years and Green Ambassador for the Diocese of York. He will be licensed by the Bishop of Selby at 7.30pm on Thursday, 8th October 2020 in St Thomas, Osbaldwick.

The Revd Oliver Preston, Assistant Curate of Halliwell in the Diocese of Manchester, has been appointed as Multiply Minister of Bridlington Christ Church with Bessingby and Ulrome.

The Revd Charles Razzall, Vicar of North Thornaby, has additonally been appointed by the Archbishop to be Area Dean of Middlesbrough for a period of one year from 1st September 2020.

The Revd Dr Catherine Reid, Vicar of Ampleforth with Oswaldkirk, Gilling East and Stonegrave, and Cleveland Archdeaconry Training Adviser, has been appointed as Chaplain to the University of York.

The Revds Jacqueline and Paul Reily, (Community Leaders, Scargill House), have been appointed as Community Leaders for the St Oswald’s Community, Sleights. They will be licensed by the Bishop of Whitby on Sunday, 4th October 2020 in the Chapel of the Order of the Holy Paraclete, Sleights.

The Revd Clay Roundtree, Vicar of Ingleby Barwick, has additionally been appointed Area Dean of Stokesley by the Archbishop for a period of five years from 1st September 2020.

The Revd Canon Suzanne Sheriff, Priest in Charge of the Heworth St Wulstan Conventional District, has been appointed additionally as Assistant Curate of Fulford for a fixed term of two years.

The Revd Melvin Tinker, Vicar of Hull, St John Newland retired on Monday 31st August 2020.

The Revd Philip West, Assistant Curate to the Deanery of South Holderness, is to be re-licensed for a further two years by the Bishop of Hull on Wednesday, 21 October 2020.

The Revd Canon Erik Wilson, who has held the Archbishop’s Permission to Officiate in the Diocese of York since 2018, has been appointed as Interim Priest in Charge (SSM) of Hull, St John Newland and was licensed by the Bishop of Hull on the 1st September 2020.

The Revd Barry Worsdale, Priest in Charge of North Cave with Cliffe and of Hotham, has been re-appointed for a fixed-term of two years. He will be Licensed by the Bishop of Hull at Hullen House at 10.00am on Friday, 18th September 2020.
