Initial Ministerial Education Phase 2

We are committed to implementing the national recommendations on IME Phase 2 and as part of this we have joined with other Yorkshire dioceses and the Regional Training Partnership to offer modules at M Level, Post-graduate certificate or Level 3 during the first 3 years of curacy. The modules are complemented by a programme of diocesan and archdeaconry meetings. The diocesan programme includes residential meetings in November and the optional Living Stones Conference in January. In February of each year, curates in their final year will join with new and first incumbents on a 'Fit for Post Programme' which aims to meet needs at the time of transition and as they move into a new role at the end of curacy.

Full details of the programme can be found in the IME Phase 2 handbook. Also in the handbook you will find details of the mentoring scheme for curates and training incumbents and a 'Learning and Development Portfolio'. Curates are encouraged to use the portfolio throughout their training, to help in identifying and prioritising training needs, recording training and monitoring progress. Contact details for the IME Phase 2 Advisers will also be found in the handbook.
