DESCRIPTION:This course is a collaboration with colleagues in Church schools in the Diocese of Leeds \nPLEASE NOTE – OUR SESSIONS ARE ONLY FOR THOSE WORKING IN AND WITH CE SCHOOLS IN THE DIOCESE OF YORK \nThe Bible Course: Schools Edition is a resource that offers a deeper view into the Bible and its relevance to leading and working in a church school. It is an eight-session group-based course that explores what the Bible is and the story it tells. For each session\, there are two 15-minute films to watch\, and a manual provides summaries of the key points\, space to take notes and discussion questions. \nThe Bible Course: Schools Edition also provides additional reflections about how the session content relates to working or leading in a church school and also links to Understanding Christianity and the SIAMS framework\, so that staff in church schools can gain a deeper understanding of the Bible and how to apply its wisdom to the work in their school. \nThe course will involve meeting with other school leaders in eight\, one-hour online Zoom sessions to discuss the materials for each session and share thoughts and reflections in a safe\, confidential forum. \nDate / Time \nThis course begins on Thursday 8th January\, 2026 / 4.00 – 5.30pm and will run every Thursday at 4pm for 8 weeks. \nCost \n\nThis package is provided free of charge for schools in the service level agreement [SLA]\nBooking is via Eventbrite\n\n

Come and pray with us\, and discern whether God is calling you to join us. \nBuckrose Carrs Benefice is a group of 6 parishes between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Wolds\, along the A64. The vacancy has previously been advertised as a House for Duty Post but it is hoped that this can be offered as a full-time post. \nGarrowby Hill Benefice is a group of 5 parishes 15 miles east of York and is a half-stipend post. Their worship includes formal sacramental and informal family worship\, enabling people to find a home to nurture their Christian faith. \nRural Ainsty Benefice is a single parish covering five churches and offers a half-stipend post to the west of York. They are a flock seeking a shepherd and excited to explore God’s plans for His Kingdom among their communities. \nThe Open Day will include a tour of the three benefices\, stopping at each to share their hospitality\, meet key people and hear their future plans. DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE – OUR SESSIONS ARE ONLY FOR THOSE WORKING IN AND WITH CE SCHOOLS IN THE DIOCESE OF YORK \n  \nDigging Deeper into SIAMS \n3 sessions which dig deeper into the SIAMS journey; one person can take part in all 3 sessions or different individuals from the same school can attend the aspects relevant to them.  \n• Session 1: Vision and Strategic Leadership \n• Session 2: Vision – delving into the SIAMS Framework (vision into action) a look at IQs \n• Session 3: Self-evaluation: Evidence gathering and how to present evidence (telling the story of our vision) \nAll sessions in this bundle are held online via Zoom. \n  \nBooking via the Eventbrite link will book you onto all 3 sessions. \nDates \n• Session 1: Wednesday 8th October 2025\, 9.30-11.30am \n• Session 2: Wednesday 22nd October 2025\, 9.30 – 11.30am \n• Session 3: Tuesday 4th November 2025\, 1.30-3.30pm \nCost \n• £100 per person for all 3 sessions for schools in the SLA \n• £125 per person for all 3 sessions for schools not in the SLA \nInvoices will be sent after the 1st session \nBookings will close on Friday 3rd October  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:This session has been cancelled\n\nFor all new governors and any that feel that they would benefit from a refresher (working with CE schools in the Diocese of York)\n\n\nPLEASE NOTE – OUR SESSIONS ARE ONLY FOR THOSE WORKING IN AND WITH CE SCHOOLS IN THE DIOCESE OF YORK \nThis two hour session is designed for all new governors in Diocese of York Church of England maintained schools and any that feel they would benefit from a refresher. The session will explore the distinctive nature of Church of England schools and the special responsibilities of Church school governors\, including foundation governors. It will introduce you to the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) framework and the role governors play in monitoring and evaluation. \nThis session is held online via Zoom. \nPlease note – there is a session on the 8th October for governors in Academies. \nDate \n• Thursday 2nd October 2025\, 6.00pm-8.00pm \nCost \n• These sessions are provided free of charge for schools. \n\nBooking is required\, please book via the Eventbrite link. \n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
