DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE – OUR SESSIONS ARE ONLY FOR THOSE WORKING IN AND WITH CE SCHOOLS IN THE DIOCESE OF YORK \nThese two hour sessions are designed for all governors and include further exploration of how governors can support the development of their school as a Church school. This links particularly to governors’ core functions of ensuring clarity of vision\, ethos & strategic direction and supporting leaders and holding them to account. \nYou can take part in the full programme or attend aspects relevant to the context of your school. \nThis is the 3rd and final session in this programme\, the link on this page is to book for the 3rd session. \nSession 3: Distinctively Effective Governance \nThis session explores the principles of effective governance in a Church school with a particular emphasis on effective monitoring and evaluation strategies. \nThe training will focus on: \n\nOfsted and SIAMS expectations\nThe work of governors through link governor roles and committee structures\nThe place of school visits.\n\nDates / Times: \n\nSession 3 – Distinctively Effective Governance – Monday 8th December\, 6.00 – 8.00pm\n\nCost \n\nThese sessions are provided free of charge for schools but booking is required\nBooking is via Eventbrite (booking is separate for each session)\n\n
