Permanent Full-Time Headteacher required from January 2023

Due to the retirement of our highly regarded Headteacher, the Governing Body of Warter Church of England (C.E.) Primary School is excited to offer this rare opportunity to appoint a new leader of our successful, happy and nurturing school.

Warter C.E. Primary School is an aspirational school serving the children and families within a popular rural community. We are inclusive, open, friendly and focussed on all of our children receiving the very best education.

Warter is an idyllic rural Wolds village, however, the reputation of its school ensures our children also travel from outside the catchment area and at present we have 157 pupils within our nursery to year six provision. At its last monitoring inspection in 2013, the school was rated ‘outstanding’ by OFSTED in all areas. In March 2018, the school received an outstanding judgement in all areas following its SIAMs inspection.

As a school, we are committed to our children's wellbeing and progress, their academic achievement, personal development and their contribution to our Christian community. We have strong and integrated Christian values that underpin everything we do and therefore we are seeking a new Headteacher who will embody these values and build on our strengths.

The school is seeking a strong leader and team player who will build on the firm foundations our present Headteacher and Warter team have developed, to ensure the school continues to work towards its ambitions for excellence and success at every level.

What we need from you is to be:

• passionate about teaching and learning and developing the full potential of every child and every member of staff;

• approachable, consistent and experienced;

• able to ensure our children continue to develop both academically and personally into the fulfilled and confident young people we believe they can be.

In addition, we are seeking:

• a confident, experienced leader who can manage a talented staff team;

· a strong vision and ethos that supports our Christian values and culture;

• a proven track record of raising both pupil attainment and standards of teaching and learning across a whole school;

• an excellent practitioner with the ability to inspire children and staff to learn, grow and achieve;

• current experience of senior leadership in a primary setting;

• a commitment to families and community and expertise in working in partnership.

We can offer you:

• a friendly and welcoming school, which is central within our community;

• a talented, committed and dedicated staff team;

• a community of kind, caring and well-behaved children who engage enthusiastically in all aspects of school life;

• a school that believes in supporting children and their families and is inclusive, fostering strong and respectful relationships between all;

• support and challenge from the Governing Body and colleagues.

Opportunities to work in partnership with the Local Authority, Diocese and local schools;

• a school with the highest of expectations for all its children and families;

• happy and enthusiastic children who thrive in a safe, caring and inspiring environment.
