The Diocese of York

Minister Responsible for

St Mary’s Etton & St Mary’s Dalton Holme

and Deanery Priest

(House for Duty)

This creative role is based in our two small, attractive villages close to the vibrant town of Beverley. Working alongside a Priest in Charge colleague, you will be responsible for the day to day oversight of these two churches and make a contribution to the deanery that uses your particular gifts and interests.

We are seeking a Minister who has a heart for village ministry and will:

  • Encourage us in mission, deepening our links with the villages
  • Bring a warm pastoral heart that listens well and cares for all
  • Cherish our traditional approach to worship and deepen our love for God
  • Bring particular gifts and insights to share with the wider deanery

We understand rural life and don’t expect our House for Duty priest to do everything. Our church families are very committed, we will share in ministry and in the running of our churches but we look for a loving pastor to lead us forwards.
