The Diocese of York

House for Duty Priest in the North Holderness Deanery

The friendly deanery of North Holderness is seeking a Priest to work across our villages, coastal communities and the town of Hornsea who will share in our varied patterns of worship, traditions and community life.

The present post-holder has shown that this additional ministerial resource can make a significant difference to the deanery and we are seeking a Priest who will develop their own specialist area of ministry, using their particular gifts and interests, alongside Sunday duties and some ministry with Occasional Offices. We are looking for a collaborative colleague who is happy to be independent, flexible and willing to show initiative.

There will be no expectation of having any of the legal responsibilities of an Incumbent. A modern four bedroom house in pleasant village, central for the deanery, is provided and full expenses are covered. We are handy for the Coast, Beverley, the Wolds and the City of Hull.

We anticipate a starting date from April 2020 onwards.
