The Coordinating Faith Adviser will manage and develop the University's multi-faith chaplaincy. Working with key groups and societies both in the University and in the local community. The successful candidate will lead the University's multi-faith chaplaincy service and shape and direct its development. Duties will include recruiting, directing and coordinating the work of Associate Chaplains as well as proactively establishing contact with students and staff of faith and no faith in order to provide spiritual and pastoral support.
With a degree qualification or significant experience, you will have a detailed comprehensive knowledge of the key elements of major faith and belief traditions. It is also essential that you have previous experience in a pastoral role in a variety of contexts and in a varied community.
The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
