On Sunday July 21st at 6.00pm, St Mary’s Church, Leake (between Thirsk and Northallerton), will welcome the renowned choir Rectory Chorale to sing at a service of choral evensong.

The service will include music by Charles Wood and Harrison Oxley. After the service there will be a summer party in the churchyard if the weather is fine.

St Mary’s is an extraordinary building that was built from the 12th century to serve Leake, one of the lost villages of England.

Today it is a modern parish church and also a beacon of faith for thousands of people who drive past on the A19.

This is an opportunity both to visit the church and participate in its worshipping life.
