Effective Governance in a Church School – new and refresher for existing governors
This is a session designed for all new governors in Church of England schools and academies (and any that feel they would like a refresher). The session will explore the distinctive nature of Church schools and the special responsibilities of Church school and academy governors, including foundation governors. It will introduce you to the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist School (SIAMS) inspection schedule and how governors can contribute to effective SIAMS self-evaluation.
