This session will explore the centrality of safeguarding at the heart of what we believe about God, the church and God's mission in the world. Focus on themes of justice, wholeness and inclusion. Explore what it is about our theology that does not lead the church to be safe. Explore how we can better build safer church communities.
This will be an interactive session with participants encouraged to bring their questions to aid and inform the discussion.
Speaker Ian McIntosh is Director of Mission and Ministry in the Diocese. Previously Ian worked for the National Ministry Team and has experience of formation for both lay and ordained ministry. He has a passion for connecting faith and life and for growing healthy, safe and inclusive churches.
