St Mary’s Cathedral, Middlesbrough will be one of the many places around the country to host a choir concert as part of Raise Your Voices. Monday December 10th will be an evening when local choirs will raise their voices in song, and local people will be giving a voice to issues of social justice.
There are many people in this country who find their voices are not heard, and so Raise Your Voices will combine fantastic singing and music with speaking out about social concerns. The challenges faced by people seeking asylum, people experiencing homelessness, families facing food poverty and financial exclusion, and people who feel they are on the edge, isolated and lonely. These problems are widespread and complex, and so our invitation to you this advent is to add your support to our Raise Your Voices event in Middlesbrough
Please come and join us on Monday 10th December 7pm at St Mary’s Cathedral, Middlesbrough to enjoy a fantastic evening of music with Middlesbrough Town Hall Community Choir and Streetwise Opera. You will also hear the voices of people who have faced struggles in life and how simple acts of human kindness and new opportunities have helped to bring transformation.
All proceeds will be used via Together Middlesbrough & Cleveland and Church Urban Fund, to support local projects and activities that help people and communities to flourish. So, come on: Raise Your Voices, raise the roof, and raise lots of money for a fantastic cause this advent – now that’s something to sing about!
