Peniel offers this prayer to follow his reflection:
God of life, source of our being and wellbeing,
when our hearts, minds and selves are held captive,
by forces not and of our own making,
stir your spirit within us, so that,
in confidence, courage and compassion
we can step up and out with you,
and embrace the path that promises
life in all its fullness,
not just for ourselves but for all.
AMEN
