The funeral of Caroline Mockford, our Provincial and Diocesan Registrar, will take place at 1.00pm on Friday 22 March at York Minster.

All are welcome.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death on the 5th March of our Diocesan and Provincial Registrar, Caroline Mockford. She suffered a stroke the previous weekend from which she did not recover.

Caroline was appointed Registrar to the Diocese of York in 2014 after six years as Registrar to the Diocese of Lincoln; a year later she was appointed Registrar to the Province of York.

As the senior legal officer and adviser to the Diocese, the Province and the Archbishop, Caroline has been a well-respected figure in the life of the church; her approachable manner and sense of fun won her many friends.

Archbishop Sentamu said, "Caroline's death is an enormous shock to us all. I know that you will wish to join with me in heartfelt prayers for her husband Bob, her family and her colleagues in the Registry at Lupton Fawcett LLP in their grief."
