St Mary's Church of England Primary School has achieved the grade of 'Excellent' on their most recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) report.

A large school, St Mary's has also recently achieved a 'Good' in their most recent Ofsted inspection, with a grade of 'Outsanding' for personal development. The Christian vision of 'Nurturing Success' is also commented on within the report, as a vision which 'permeates all aspects of school life, shaping both the strategic and operational direction of the school'

The report commented positively on the fact that mental wellbeing is 'given high priority... which enables the flourishing of the whole school community', as well as the pupil's ability to 'raise and explore spiritual and moral questions' which helps them become more valuable members of the community who 'take social action and act as courageous advocates.

The principal objective of the SIAMS inspection is to evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school, and how well the distinctive Christian character and ethos of the school ensure the development and achievement of the whole child or young person.
