Archbishop Sentamu and Bishops Paul, John, Alison and Glyn recorded a video message on yesterday's Feast of the Annunciation for the Diocese from their respective homes at this uniquely difficult time.
They reflect on the astonishing and inconvenient call to Mary to become the mother of God, and on her response as recorded by Luke:
Mary said, ‘Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.’
“God has a calling for his church at this time,” they say. “Like Mary, we can say our Yes to where God is calling us, even though we do not know where he will lead us.”
