Kirk Fenton Church of England Primary School has achieved a grade of 'Good' in their most recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) Report.

A large primary school which has recently undergone a redevelopment, Kirk Fenton has refreshed their Christian Vision which is now based on Matthew 5:14-16: "let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven". This is to encourage pupils to develop a 'love of learning' and to 'reach their full potential and aspire to become the person they were born to be'.

The report praised the 'warm, welcoming, and inclusive' atmosphere at the school, as well as commenting on the 'passionate, clear-sighted, and open leadership' of the headteacher.

It was also noted that the school is maintaining strong partnerships with local churches and other schools, as well as enjoying an enriching and varied collective worship which 'encourages spiritual development'.

The principal objective of the SIAMS inspection is to evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school, and how well the distinctive Christian character and ethos of the school ensure the development and achievement of the whole child or young person.
