Shrove Tuesday this year is on 5th March and churches, schools, workplaces, individuals and community groups can host a Big Pancake Party to support Church Urban Fund and its Joint Venture with the Diocese of York, Together Middlesbrough and Cleveland, on or around Pancake Day.
There are tons of new resources for 2019 including guidance sheets, prayer cards and pancake stencils. If you register to take part then you will be sent a Big Pancake Party ‘Host’s Pack’.
Here are some ideas:
- Book a community venue, invite your supporters, friends, colleagues and networks, cook up some delicious pancakes and ask for donations.
- As a local church, set up a pancake stall at lunchtime selling pancakes to your hungry colleagues.
