Kirkby and Great Broughton Church of England Primary School has been described as Outstanding in their recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) Report.

The principal objective of the SIAMS inspection is to evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school, and how well the distinctive Christian character and ethos of the school ensure the development and achievement of the whole child or young person.

Here are a couple of snippets from the SIAMS report:

"The exemplary partnership with the parish church of St Augustine’s, especially through its vicar, enriches the worshipping life of the school community and nurtures the spiritual journeys of the adults and pupils."

"The caring and nurturing Christian environment within a spirit of love, forgiveness and friendship, enables each pupil to ‘be their individual selves’. As a result, all pupils make good progress and achieve very well, academically, personally and spiritually"
