Guidance and support for occupants of diocesan houses considering offering accommodation to people fleeing the invasion of Ukraine as part of the Government's 'Home for Ukraine' scheme.

If you do not live in a vicarage or other house provided by the diocese, but are considering participating in the 'Homes for Ukraine' scheme, this material does not apply directly to you, but you may find that some of it is still helpful to you and will adapt readily to your circumstances.

Please find the following downloads:

  1. Advice note from the Diocesan Office team (PDF) setting out the issues you will need to consider if you participate in the 'Homes for Ukraine' scheme as an occupant of a York DBF house, and the ways in which the team will be able to offer you support and guidance. This document includes a link to a short online form you are asked to complete once you have registered with the Government's 'Homes for Ukraine' scheme, so that the Diocesan Office team can assess what support you might need to ensure the arrangement is on a sound footing.
  2. Template Hosting Agreement (PDF) to enable occupants of York DBF houses to make an agreement with their guests which meets the needs of the Government's 'Homes for Ukraine' scheme and the DBF. Please note that if experience or changing legislation or policy require changes to future agreements, we will do our best to ensure that the version of the Hosting Agreement on this download page is as up-to-date as possible.
