With relaxation in Covid Guidelines from 17th May, Selby Abbey can once again welcome all visitors who want to come to enjoy the Abbey for any reason.

The Abbey will re-open its very popular Coffee Shop and Gift Shop, so contributing not only to the local community but also to the experience of the many visitors to Selby town and district.

As well as being more accessible to more people opening hours at the Abbey will also be extended to 10.00am to 4.00pm (Coffee Shop from 10.30am to 3.30pm).

Canon John Weetman, Vicar of Selby Abbey, said that “along with the whole country we are pleased to welcome the relaxation in lockdown restrictions. It gives us the opportunity to share the wonders of Selby Abbey with more visitors including those having staycation holidays this year. We will also be welcoming back many of our volunteers who keep the wheels turning and make the Abbey a welcoming place for everyone.”
