Another glimpse of our Come and See Mission (12-15 March)… after a Saturday of walking and getting to know some of the communities around the Diocese, Lorna Heatley reckoned it was certainly time to dance in Easingwold!

Soulfingers, an 8 piece soul band led by the energetic Richard Mapletoft (whose singing voice didn’t flag even after three hours of belting out fantastic soul music) had many out on the dance floor boogying to classics like “Johnny B Good” and “Reet Petite”.

Bishop of Lancaster Jill Duff brought everyone back to the meaning of the mission during the interval, asking the poignant question “what is the music of your soul?”.

Bishop Jill also reflected on the weekend so far, saying that she felt, as a team, there had been “sparks from heaven” throughout the weekend.
