Remembering our Come and See Mission (12-15 March) – on the Saturday night Emmanuel Church Saltburn saw a Comedy Night – an evening of laughter from stand-up comedians who come under the umbrella of ‘Kingdom Comedy’. John Carter took his tickle stick:
Compere for the night, comedian Duncan Logan of Kingdom Comedy, explained, “We travel up and down the country giving shows and I feel that comedy can be a way of the gospel being made real to people even if it just brings them through the door and gives them a different perception of church.”
It certainly brought people to Emmanuel Church, with an appreciative audience of more than a hundred enjoying lively routines from Duncan himself, Geordie comic Stefan Peddie and others.
