Singer-Songwriter, Gareth Davies-Jones brings his Christmas acoustic tour to Beverley, performing songs from his “Nine Lessons” album as well as new material

Gareth is an acclaimed singer-songwriter whose music is appreciated by Bob Harris, Iain Anderson and many more. His songwriting reflects his interests in the stories, people and events of places he loves. His songs have covered subjects as diverse as lighthouses, coal mining, and the Northumberland landscape, as well as reflecting more heartfelt concerns of faith and justice.

Performing for over a decade, including at Greenbelt Festival, Gareth has also regularly gone on the road in support of charities such as TEAR Fund and Christian Aid. He is now a highly respected musician in the acoustic scene.

This concert is a chance to experience some familiar Christmas music with fresh interpretations, arrangements, melodies, and with a little background on the writers themselves. Gareth hits the road with some of the best-known seasonal works intent on helping people to look again.

The aim is to enjoy the music, hear the stories, relax in good company and reconnect with a story that has often been buried too deeply amongst the headlong rush to December 25th.
